Simply Smile :: San Francisco

Finishing up my trip to SF this week, and I don't really want to leave. I went out to Mamacita with some girls last night in the Marina. We started the evening with chips and guac [[ duh ]] but as I was telling a friend, it is never spicy enough!! The decision was made to keep hot sauce in my purse, just for occasions like the one I encountered last night. I sipped a fabulous grapefruit cocktail, that tasted like I was biting into the actual fruit! The food and atmosphere was unreal and I will for sure be back!! These are some shots from around the city, just some tasty samples for your visual pleasure. Goodbye San Francisco, until we meet again... Xo

daycation attire to The City

I feel like I have been doing a million things lately, and I love it. I have made so many new friends in the last few weeks, but then.. I have always been a social butterfly. These are some shots from the previous weekends venturing up into San Francisco.. One of my favorite cities. The first round was a train ride to the City for a wine tasting event. The second time was for a daycation and for delicious Waterfront Pizza.. which I highly recommend! You have to make your own happiness sometimes..

Simply Smile

Oh the weekend is upon us and I can't wait to enjoy it. The week was broken up with a beautiful rain storm and you know I sat by the window all night. I also got my Internet up and running.. which is a victory on its own- having never done such a thing. Lets just say I got very comfortable with the guys at Frys Electronics. I also have been decorating my place a little and found out that my couch has shipped! woohoo! victory dance time. Pictures soon to follow, I promise. These are a few other things that have kept a smile on my face. Have a great day, you're almost to the weekend.

Seeing a horse walking down the road is a liitle bit of a shock, but I guess you get used to it when you grow up in the country.

Sushi = LOVE

I love my San Jose Sharks and have gone to a few games where they won.. I think I might be good luck!

I seriously can't say no to Kettle Corn, it is my favorite Fair food

One day...

Simply Smile

Over the last week, I have been trying to see the beauty in everything.. I'm sure some of you are aware that my boyfriend and I broke up and things have been, well... tough. Trying to see everything through a positive light is comforting, but hard right now. These are some of the shots that have brought a smile to my face. Nothing special.. just trees, traffic and a quote. But I hope it brings a smile to yours too.

The perfect quote

brand

got some love over on the boyfriends blog the other day... so I thought I'd share over here.
Lenscaption is a popular "photo a day" blog that my boyfriend creates in addition to his full time job. He has been a professional photographer for the past couple years and my personal blog photog for the past year. He recently has been working on his new start-up Tabata Times and does all the photography/creative  related activity for the site. You should stop by and check out his work. He always gives a very unique perspective in his pictures and his captions really force you to look at the bigger picture...he's deep.

show him some love <3

Simply Smile

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Which means extra spending, longer To-Do lists, more parties and busier work loads. Holidays can be a little stressful, so I have been trying to stay organized and get ready for the month ahead. I know the time will fly by, so I am making an extra effort to enjoy it while it's here. I love the trips the Christmas in the Park in downtown and the smell of freshly baked Christmas cookies when you walk through the door. Even though this time is busy and stressful, these are some photos that have been keeping me smiling lately.

Sunset in Canada

This past weekend was my mom's birthday and we went out to eat with them at one of her favorite restaurants. While we were sitting there, I couln't help but see the love that my parents had for each other radiating through their gaze. After all these years (thirty-something) and the up and downs that most couples face, raising two children and hanging wall paper [inside joke] they are still together. I hope that I reach that in my my life someday. Your life is filled with experiences that turn into memories. Someone once told me that "you know you've reached the half way point, when you share memories instead of drems."  I have too many dreams that have yet to be fulfilled and one is to one day open a restaurant in my neighborhood.

Speaking of neighborhoods- I have good news regarding the Whole Foods in Downtown San Jose While I was shopping at the Campbell location they told me that once the Whole Body opens next month, estimating the 10th of October, they will begin work with the downtown location. That may or may not be finished by the end of 2013. It is also supposed to have a two story brewery that will stay open past the grocery shop hours. This will only make the area more attractive to shop owners. I hope to be open on that street one day, soon. So while I'm dreaming in my head and typing with my fingers, these are some of the things that are currently making me happy.

new "balance" necklace [c/o]

After a short work week, I feel like I'm cheating by getting another weekend so soon. I know, I know... everyone is dying to see what I bought this past weekend in San Francisco... but I'm so lazy I haven't taken any good outfit posts yet... next week
I promise

I think since last weekend was so chaotic/exciting/busy/action packed, this weekend we will just sloooowwwww it dowwwnnn

I have never brought it up on here, but I have had some health issues for a while and I finally got them resolved.. I feel so fantastic and so alive {{too cheesy?}} Anyway, my message to you is to get checked out. Don't live with the pain you have.. I mean it really takes a toll on your mental state and your disposition. And if you live in the South Bay, I recommend here.. if you need it. The shots today are the little things that have kept me smiling this past week. Hope they make you smile too. enjoy your weekend. XO
