NINE2five chic

top: Who What Wear collection from target; pants: H&M; shoes: Target

Black and white never goes out of style. I was at Target the other night and saw this blouse from the 'Who What Wear' collection.
Hounds-tooth - duh
B + W - timeless

So I have this friend Giovanna... but she's only friend with me because I take her photos. haha.
IG baby.
Well she took these and I think she did amazing! Lately I've been wanting a bit more prep in my wardrobe. So I've been drawn to classic pieces, with a good cut.

The shoes are also from Target :) I got them on clearance for $8.

Rosso Corsa

I've definitely worn this red jumpsuit before. I can literally count on one hand, the number of times I've worn it, even though I think it's been owned for about five years. I feel really sassy when I get the chance to wear it.

Kind of how a Ferrari is sassy, especially when it comes in red.

This is part one of my day. My aunt is so adorable and suggested us ladies all go out for tea, as an honor to my Nana. The last time she and my Uncle came out, they treated Nana to lunch at a tea room. She loved it and so Aunt Randi booked us an afternoon at Satori Tea room. So more about that in the next blog post.

I love a good brick wall. <3

Here is a photo from after tea.

casual thursday

wearing :: thrifted tweed jacket + craft store flower pin + Zara green cropped trousers + cheapy tee from Target + Black Michael Kors heels.

This out fit was worn the other day and I have to say it was one of the most comfy things I could wear to work. the tee was soft and casual but looked put together with the blazer. The pants were cuffed a bit and hit just the right length. The shoes would have been better had they been a strappier version. I really want to learn how to do a topknot, but I have really long hair.. Any suggestions?

out with my sistah

The other day, I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with my baby sister. Of course we had to go shopping, what else? I ended up with a new top, even though I am on the hunt for a nice black wool peacoat. Any Suggestions? I grabbed this sweater at Black and Brown the other week- it's actually a light blue/mint color. My pants are from Target, major score!! Boots are Aldo. and Maddie is in a Juicy Couture Bomber, yes my dog has classy taste. My necklace was a gift from my hunny - it's a vintage pendant with inscription from the Khoran, I believe... Babe correct me if I'm wrong.

Now the game is on for Holiday Gifts!! Next month I will be featuring my gift guides for Holiday shopping for everyone in your life. I hope you like them. Stay tuned. Happy Shopping <3

p.s. all shots were taken from my sisters new phone- she's so excited. follow her on instagram @lilmissgingerr

stripes and natives

Thanksgiving is this week, I can't believe it. I have already bought all the needed items for Thanksgiving number one with my Boyfriend's family on Wednesday night. I am in charge of the desserts, no surprise there. It is my favorite thing to bring to any party. Maddie and I played around with the camera and I tried on possible Turkey Day outfits. A new top from JCrew that I got this past weekend, I am so addicted to stripes right now. I was out shopping with my sister. {We got matching tops}  That often used to be the case when we were younger. A family vacation was always cemented with my sister and I getting new matching outfits... I still find some comfort in it, maybe for the memories. The turquoise jewelery is worn to represent something the Native Americans might have had. I also have my arrow necklace on in memory of the events at Thanksgiving and leaf earrings to remember nature. Maddie, just in the tu-tu that I made for her.

Black and Brown ♥

Oh Black and Brown, how I love thee. This store is one of the best local vintage places you'll find in the South Bay.. I even know people from the City who make special trips to San Jose just for this shopping experience. They always offer a wide selection of all the current styles. Plus designer pieces and a great shoe collection. All the staff are super awesome!! You should go in and shop around.
{{I'm a bad influence}} They used to be located in a "under the stair" kind of shop over off of San Carlos, but moved to a larger venue on the Alameda. I feel like this is the new up and coming spot. For people who want to stay out late and skip the bar/club scene.. folks who just want to chill.

These are just a few finds I picked up recently. The top is Rory Beca, super good find, price and I love the green. The arrow necklace was picked up at a shop in Encinitas, near San Diego- I dont remember the name. And the earrings were a last minute chance as I was getting everything rung up the other night at the shop.
Lucky me

Parisian Hotties

I get my goofiness from my Mom, as you can see

Ok, so I'm not really Parisian but my outfit sure feels like it- stripes, full skirts, side braids and a touch of red to make your outfit POP! This dress is perfect because it combines everything for me- it even has a cute bow belt that makes it even girlier. Dresses are an easy fashion fix when you're not sure what to style, because it does the guess work for you and you don't have to fuss with putting pieces together.

I love easy.. effortless actually, you get the name of my blog.

little black dress

After a long week, we had an even longer weekend...
wait?! isn't it supposed to get slower by Friday?
Well for us it didn't... lucky for me my boyfriend is amazing and took me out for a night on the town after all the hectic-ness of working during the day. BONUS- I saw Looper, and loved it!! I highly recommend you see it while in theaters because you need the large screen to get the full impact of some of the scenes. I am wearing an { on sale } Urban Outfitters dress- anything backless and I’m instantly in love. And I’m wearing my ever faithful Dolce Vita sandals; they have been in heavy rotation ever since I got them. The last day of our long vacation was spent in San Francisco, as you can see from the photo of me taken in Chinatown. We also checked out Little Italy [[or North Beach as some call it]] it’s now one of my top three favorite neighborhoods there... makes me want to go to Italy for real.

GNO ♥

Sometimes when you live with your significant other, it can be hard to find time to do things you used to do before you were attached. Your single lifestyle traits kind of melt away and double dates, making dinner together and inside jokes get a lot better. But you should still fit in "girly time" for yourself~ example:: chick flicks, eating ice cream for the carton (oh, am I the only one who did that?) and looking through Cosmo to find out what the best bed tricks
are.

and as wonderful as my guy is… when I try to ask his opinions on the new embroidery trend or show him my T-chart for the reasons why I need a new pair of boots or when I just want to dream//wish for the newest Celine bag... he just doesn't get it.

Insert Girls Night Out ::your girlfriends, maybe a few drinks, lots of laughing, good food and someone who actually gets your dilemma about whether you should get black painted jeans or leather leggings.. I had such a fun night out at Merit Vegan with a few lovely ladies the other evening. I wore my new HM sweater that I picked up the other day while shopping with my sister. We gabbed about our boyfriends// work// purses/ weddings//and a little gossip (duh, we’re girls)

I’ve known these ladies since childhood, and we always try to meet up every month just to catch up. Even though we’re all super busy doing our own thang, it’s nice re-group and reminisce.
Love you ladies x
